We are now in the age of FO2 Battle Passes!
Just click on that new orange button at the top right of the screen and you'll see an empty window.
Oh but where can I get one of these Battle Passes?
Well, the first Battle Pass was sent out to active Gamer tier and above patrons last Friday. But don't worry. You can now purchase one from Big George's Battle Pass Shop in Old Mirabella Cove.
But how do I get to Old Mirabella Cove?
Head on down to Swamp Grotto and there is a new NPC to teleport you there.
Head west to get back to the Swamp Grotto entrance.
Once you have a Battle Pass all you have to do is double click it and voila.
The Battle Pass window opens and shows active battle passes. If you already have that Battle Pass running it won't let you start another one. You must first finish the active Winter Battle Pass to start a new active Winter Battle Pass!
Winter Battle Pass - 80 Tiers - 800 Battle Pass XP Per Tier
Winter Battle Pass contains:
* 14 Outfit items
* 3 Weapons (T0.5)
* 100 Gems
* 11000 Coins
* 8 Quests - They will slowly be available over the next 60 days.
* 14 XP potions
* 18 Crafting materials
Patch Notes #28 - Winter Battle Pass
Each tier requires 800 Battle Pass XP. Enemies give BPXP = level / 10 * 10 and double that if you have Double Battle Pass XP running. So that's about 40 level 20 mob kills per tier. 3200 kills to finish the Battle Pass completely that is if you didn't use double xp or tier skips. In the future you'll be able to run up to 3 unique Battle Passes at the same time.
Mirabella Cove will be using its old tile set for the next few months as we find time to convert it to the new tile set. It will be a very time consuming process. Also, I've disabled collision in Mirabella Cove for now so you can have fun running all over a map for a few days. I'll be turning it on soon.
Crab Coast and Mirabella Cove still align really well.
But there are a lot of new animated tiles that need to be ported over! But that being said it's pretty fun to just take a look at the before and after by walking around without collision.
While the Battle Pass Shop NPC is the only non-teleport NPC in Mirabella Cove right now, some friends will be joining him later this week.
In order to get this Battle Pass finished I had to implement what I'm calling System Buffs. They are buffs that cannot be cancelled and can have their duration extended. Currently there are 3 System Buffs which are Double XP, Double Faction XP, Double Battle Pass XP.

I am also in the process of implementing the enchanting system but it wasn't ready in time for this Battle Pass so the next one will have Enchantment Writs. Actually the next one could be completely different. We'll see.
Then before that I added about 1/2 the remaining content for Swamp Grotto.

In the upcoming week I will be working on finishing Swamp Grotto, some crafting in Mirabella Cove, completing Battle Pass code (complete/finish and tier skips), moving the database to AWS, and many more things.
