Patch Notes #114 - Subscription Exclusive Items & Mob Death Animations
Steam Subscriptions and Patreon Items
Some of you pointed out yesterday that you received random Cowboy Hats in your mailbox! This is all part of the return of subscription items for Patreon and the new Steam Subscription! Gamer and I were doing a little test to ensure the delivery of subscriptions items functioned correctly and as a result current Patreon members received Cowboy Hats!
Starting right now, Steam players can go to the in game Gem Shop, select a subscription tier and be awarded Cowboy Hats! This is the subscription item for the month of September. You will also be awarded your monthly gems based on what tier you select.
The Dragon Wings, formally known as Demon Wings during the poll, have won the vote for October's featured subscription item!
Subscription Tier Breakdown
Gamer Tier (20 monthly) - 2 x Subscription Item, 200 + 20 extra = 220 Gems (10% Extra!)
Ultra Gamer Tier (120 monthly) - 12 x Subscription Item, 1200 + 360 extra = 1560 Gems (30% Extra!)
Mob Death and Loot Animations
Mob Death and Loot Animations have made their way into the game bringing life to the death of a mob. The current chest design, shown in the images below, is just the start! Over the next few months I'll be adding more unique chests and designs for mobs, bosses and veins! The chests will also stay open if you leave any loot in the loot window.

Just kidding! There are no secrets here!!! Here's a preview of the Space Battle Pass coming with the launch of New Crab City!
Huge shoutout to Moriarty on all his hard work making this Battle Pass come to life!
The Legacy Battle Pass and Summer Battle Pass will be leaving at this time and replaced with the Space Battle Pass and an updated version of the Fall Battle Pass (The Fall BP update will have the same outfit items with updates to crafting materials, potions and faction items).

- Made Surfside Quests a daily to remove them from players that didn't complete the quest in time
Gamer's Patch Notes
Added a couple server optimizations.
Rewrote the Steam gem shop window to prepare for subscriptions.
We now have gem shop windows for each platform and the old gem shop window has been deleted!
Converted steam inventory display to using GUIScrollList.
Implemented 16 item transfer limit for steam inventory in gem shop window.
Added a limit of 100 for mail when transfering from steam inventory.
Added subscription options to the Steam gem shop window.
Purchased a low end Windows 11 laptop to debug Windows 11 issues with the Steam build.
Got /ISteamMicroTxn/InitTxn/v3/ working server side.
Got onMicroTxnAuthorizationResponse working with steamworks.js client library.
Implemented /ISteamMicroTxn/GetReport/v5/ server side.
Fixed Ascension level cap to 101.
Fixed the xp required for post 100.
Fixed the extra stat points given post 100.
Setup several MySQL tables to track and deal with Steam subscription tiers and their rewards.
Added new MySQL tables for processing Patreon subscription tiers and their item rewards.
Added server side code for loading and transmitting death animations.
Steam inventory server code now sends subscription status and monthly exclusive item id along with the player's Steam community market inventory.
Greatly improved and cleaned up sprite pixel texture load/error handling.
Steam gem shop now shows the correct monthly sub item and will update automatically.
Added loot animation that plays after death animation.
Added code so the default death and loot animations can be overriden.
Setup Windows 11 machine for development.
New death and loot animations are in and working! They look amazing!
Player and enemy sprite handling code has been hardened and make more efficient.
Steam subscription code connected on client.
Steam subscription rewards are not processed and delivered!
Steam subscriptions are now available and active!!
Fixed a bug where a mob's loot table in the character window mobs tab could show incorrect items.
Started setting up automating of gem note sales.
